Ask a new question. I have a Dell XPS 2 in 1 laptop that is 16 months old. I had previously bought Windows 10 Pro on a USB, with a product key, just after I bought the laptop and wanted to reinstall this.
When I tried, as it is apparently an older version of Windows 10 Pro, I cannot both install it and keep my files and apps. Is there a way to download the current version of 10 Pro and install this with the product key I have bought? I was then put through to technical support which took most of the rest of the time. The chap allegedly spoke to a Tier 2 Support team member and I was to be put through.
Unfortuntely as soon as I was put through I got a recorded message that the office was closed and I should call back during normal business hours. Sadly as I have no idea where suport are based, nor a number, I can't!! I did have a missed called at Is this typical of Microsoft support? What terrible service!! I have also tried responding to their support notification email "reply ing above the line" but past experience tells me that this will go unanswered!!

After the Dell technician induced reinstall of Windows 10 which came with the PC, I now have the latest updated version of 10 installed.
I had previously bought and installed Windows 10 Pro for which I have on a Microsoft USB with a product key on a card over the original operating system. If I try and install Windows 10 Pro now, over the newly updated Windows 10, the only option available is to lose my files and apps to install theolder version of Windows 10 Pro. My files are backed up and I can do this if necessary although it duplicates much of the re-building that I have had to do since the Dell re-install of Windows What I am after is a means to download the latest Windows 10 Pro version so that I can re-install this without having to reinstall everything else again?

Was it 10 Pro? Enter the Pro key and that should start the upgrade process from Home to Pro. It looked like this would work but it was unable to upgrade and suggested activating later or buying a genuine product - I did but last year!! Is that correct? Since you have Windows 10 Pro Edition, you can install any version that released. If your Windows current version is 21H1, you should be able to update it to 21H2 which is the latest version. Note: Your data and installed app should remain as they are. I love the concept of this app, and there are lots of things about it that are wonderful. There are a few key issues however that undermine the experience. Mainly, I simply cannot get notifications to work. I suspect the Team's team is getting this feedback a lot because they have a lot of FAQs on how to turn notifications on, but mine are most certainly turned on, and I do not get notifications of new messages. UI clarity around when a message is sent is also poor.
So far, so good! Been using it for about a month. User friendly. Update: Have been using this since the beginning of the pandemic for work frequent daily use. Chat, video, voice features have all been reliable and user-friendly. My team is always just a click away and we're able to stay communicative.
Recent update makes the app break frequently. When opening the app, there's a loading screen screen saying "Managed by your organization" that often never finishes. I have to force close the app several times before it goes through. If I'm on a meeting and it happens, I won't be able to use the rest of Teams until I'm off the call.
